Keep Defense FAQ and Tips
Orcs are climbing the walls, bats are swarming the towers, and somewhere behind you a princess with a staff full of fireballs is your only real hope. Keep Defense drops you into a stationary siege where the castle doesn't move but the danger absolutely does, wave after wave of trolls and other nasty things throwing themselves at your gate. You pick between characters like Severidric the wizard or Gendra herself, each one leaning into a slightly different flavor of magic, and from there it's all about timing your spells before the horde gets close enough to matter. Coins drop from fallen enemies, and those coins buy the good stuff, poison clouds, staff upgrades, fireballs that clear a whole cluster in one go.
Top Tips
- Save your strongest spell for when enemies bunch up near the gate instead of firing it the second it's ready.
- Prioritize trolls and anything slow-moving first, they soak damage and block your shots if left alone too long.
- Spend coins early on power-ups rather than hoarding, a stronger staff now prevents a rough wave later.
- Watch the edges of the screen, bats especially like to sneak in from angles you're not currently aiming at.
- Mix poison with direct fireball damage so weakened enemies die faster instead of limping toward the walls.
- Don't panic-cast everything at once, running dry on magic during a big push is how castles actually fall.
Control Scheme
- Aim with the mouse to line up your character's line of sight on incoming enemies.
- Click to cast spells and fire magical attacks at whatever's closest to breaching the wall.
- Use collected coins between waves to purchase upgrades like fireballs, poison, and stronger staffs.
- Switch focus quickly between multiple enemy types, since orcs, bats, and trolls all behave differently.
- Keep an eye on your magic meter so you're not left empty-handed mid-swarm.
