Description

Defense Clash: A Beginner's Guide

Skull soldiers don't care that it's your first run, they'll march straight for your base the second the level starts. The whole idea sits pretty close to that Plants vs Zombies formula everybody knows, except here it's dressed up in a sci-fi skin with lanes, colorful units, and nine stages that ramp up meaner each time. Don't panic on level one. Spend it learning how fast enemies close the gap before you drop a single unit in a bad spot.

Key Combinations

There's nothing fussy about the controls, which is honestly a relief given how much you'll need to focus on positioning instead. On a phone or tablet you just tap the screen where you want a unit placed, and on desktop the mouse does the exact same job with a click. No keyboard shortcuts, no combo inputs to memorize, just quick taps timed against the wave of skulls crawling toward your left flank. That simplicity means the actual challenge lives entirely in your decision-making, not your reflexes.

Top Tips

  • Watch your left side constantly, since that's the base you're actually protecting and it's easy to get distracted by the fighting elsewhere.
  • Save resources for the Stone Monster encounters, because a thin battalion gets steamrolled the moment it shows up.
  • Build a front line early rather than scrambling once soldiers are already halfway across the field.
  • Mix your unit types instead of spamming one kind, since later levels punish one-note strategies pretty hard.
  • Treat each of the nine levels as a fresh puzzle. What worked on level three might get you wrecked by level six.
  • Keep an eye on tempo. Slower placement early on beats a panicked pile of units dropped all at once.
